Chinese Traditional Tea Table #1 "Dragon and Phoenix"
This table is an incredible example of a full service tea ceremony table. It was carved from the trunk of a tree that had grown old and fallen in the woods. Size: 103 inches long, 60 inches wide x 44 inches high at its greatest points. The different levels carved into the table ensure that when the boiling water is poured over the teapot and teacups to warm them, it will cascade down to the lowest level, through the drain and into a vessel. It is complete with eight stools, each one carved from an individual tree according to its particular formation. This table weighs several hundred pounds.
